Yolanda’s passion for breastfeeding started as excitement about the incredible bonds it fostered between herself and her two sons, as well as its health benefits, and cost savings. At the same time she was frustrated that some new parents do not have access to support and education when breastfeeding is a struggle, and do not feel empowered or fully supported in their infant feeding choices. She left her career as a research psychologist to complete her lactation education and internship, in order to become an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC).
